  1. What benefit we can have by using DRIS?
    Besides complying legislation, computerized data will lead you to easily reference products for regulatory affairs. After complete implementation, it will help in product recall, track & trace of products & act as anti-counterfeit measure.
  2. What is the purpose of account registration and product data provision?
    To comply with the regulatory legislation having the goal of government owned central database of pharmaceutical products which can be traceable using GS-1 2D datamatrix.
  3. What applicant type should we select while registering?
    For each manufacturing license, you need to register separate “Manufacturer” account type. However, A separate “Import” account is required if manufacturer also have import products. Importers should use “Import” account type.
  4. As a manufacturer, why we are required to enter one license only?
    Since each DML will have different accounts (different user-name and passwords) with same company reference. They can be either managed by each DML site on its own or by single head office. Product entered for one DML will not be visible in account associated with other DML.
  5. What if we have multiple sites in Pakistan which will manage their products on their own?
    Each site will register separate account with corresponding DML having same company name.
  6. What if we don’t have any Global Company Prefix (GCP)?
    If you are importer and not getting GTINs yourself, You can omit the GCP field in that case for account registration.
  7. We are importing products which already have manufacturer GTIN’s, what should we do?
    You can enter manufacturer detail and GCP while entering imported products in your dashboard as well as predefined GTIN(s) if imported products have already GTINs - provided after account activation.
  8. Why my account registration is pending after sign up?
    Your company and License detail are to be checked for authenticity before giving access to the portal by concerned division.
  9. What will be process after account activation?
    You’ll get an email with user-name and password after verification. You can log-in to your DRIS account and start entering your products. After that, you’ll be able to enter batch detail for each product.
  10. How we’ll enter product batches?
    You’ll enter batch details manually in given online form.
  11. How we’ll enter product serials?
    You’ll upload simple text or CSV file having single column and multiple rows having one serial per row.
  12. Is product serials compulsory to provide at this stage?
    No, but it is recommended.
  13. How can we modify data once entered wrong?
    For products, they are editable until verified by DRAP. For batches, serials and Company/License detail, please send us an email at dris@dra.gov.pk
